TORONTO (January 5, 2026) — This holiday season, Canadians chose homegrown storytelling, with Crave Original series leading viewing across the platform nationally between December 19 and December 31. Six of the Top 10 most-watched series on Crave over the holiday period were Canadian originals, underscoring the streamer’s continued leadership in premium, locally produced content that resonates with audiences at home and abroad.

Leading the holiday viewing was the global breakout hit HEATED RIVALRY, fan-favourite SHORESY, CANADA'S DRAG RACE, PROJECT RUNWAY CANADA, OD: TENTATIONS AU SOLEIL, and LE CALENDRIER DE L’AVENT.

“We’ve always believed that when you take creative risks and back Canadian storytellers in a meaningful way, audiences will show up – and this holiday season they did just that,” said Sean Cohan, President, Bell Media. “We’re excited to captivate audiences and fuel conversation, reinforcing Crave’s position as the leading destination and source for premium Canadian entertainment.”

Notable holiday-period viewership highlights* include:

 	Nationally, six of the Top 10 series on Crave during the holiday period were Canadian.
 	More than half of active Crave subscribers watched Canadian content over the holiday period.
 	57 of the Top 100 TV episodes streamed over the holiday period were Canadian, representing nine Canadian series.
 	From Newfoundland to British Columbia, the #1 video streamed in every province over the holidays was Canadian.

Crave Original HEATED RIVALRY emerged as the #1 most-watched series on Crave over the holidays, cementing its status as one of the platform’s biggest original successes to date. Developed and commissioned by Crave, HEATED RIVALRY has surged into a global breakout, topping the platform’s chart week after week, evolving from a highly anticipated launch into a full-blown global phenomenon that continues to fuel fan-obsession, and drive non-stop conversation both with viewers and press. The series has secured sustained media coverage and stellar reviews around the world, including in The Globe and Mail, Canadian Press, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, GQ, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and more.

Looking ahead, Crave’s momentum continues into 2026 with an ambitious slate of nearly 30 new original series spanning comedy, drama, reality, and true crime. WINDSOR (January 5, 2026) – As announced live this morning on 89X and 93.9 Virgin Radio, Hannah Witherbee and Jonny Parks are waking up Windsor with THE MORNING X WITH HANNAH &amp; JONNY beginning Tuesday, Jan. 6. The program is available weekdays on 89X from 6 – 10 a.m. ET, and streaming live on iHeart.com and the iHeartRadio Canada app.  

Making the move from across the hall at 93.9 Virgin Radio, Jonny Parks begins with 89X on Tuesday, Jan. 6, with Hannah Witherbee joining the show following her maternity leave in September 2026. 

Taking over at 93.9 Virgin Radio are Kim Scott and Lexie Farrer, with their new morning show beginning Monday, Jan. 19.

SASKATOON (December 31, 2025) – CTV News Saskatoon announced tonight during CTV NEWS AT SIX that Mildred Kerr is the recipient of the 2025 Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Award. 

“Mildred Kerr has been a lifelong advocate for social justice and supporting others in Saskatoon,” said J.C. Garden, Manager of Operations, Local TV &amp; Radio and Director of News &amp; Public Affairs Saskatchewan, Bell Media. “From her early career at the Saskatoon Community Clinic to her volunteer work on the board of the Saskatoon Open Door Society, Mildred has been a tireless advocate for all people to be treated equally.” 

Born in Kuroki, Saskatchewan, Kerr and her late husband Don lived in Saskatoon, raising their three biological sons and fostering two sons. She is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Regina. In the early ‘80s, Kerr was instrumental in the founding of Equal Justice for All. She was also a founding member of the Saskatoon Food Bank, and has served on a variety of different boards including the Saskatoon Open Door Society and Saskatoon Interval House. 

Kerr has been honoured with numerous awards and recognitions, including the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal and Saskatchewan Centennial Medal.  

The Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Award presented by CTV is an annual tradition now in its 59th year. Each November, CTV Saskatoon accepts nominations from viewers for the Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Award and presents the award at the end of December to an individual who exemplifies excellence in community service.

REGINA (December 31, 2025) – CTV News Regina announced tonight during CTV NEWS AT SIX that Ruth Robillard is the recipient of the 2025 Regina Citizen of the Year Award. 
“Ruth Robillard is an outstanding member of our community, and her impact on education and learning is remarkable,” said J.C. Garden, Manager of Operations, Local TV &amp; Radio and Director of News &amp; Public Affairs Saskatchewan, Bell Media. “Her devotion to helping others is evident in her volunteer service to many Regina organizations that foster learning, inclusion, and reconciliation.” 

Born in Beaver Flats, Saskatchewan and raised on her family farm, Robillard was the youngest of 13 children. She is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Education and completed her Master of Education at the University of Regina. She taught for more than three decades with the Regina Board of Education before retiring. She continued to teach and lecture for another 20 years at Gabriel Dumont Institute and Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies.   

Robillard has volunteered with a multitude of organizations including the Regina Metis Sports and Culture Center, Friends on the Outside, and the Archdiocese of Regina Truth and Reconciliation Committee. She has been recognized with several awards, including the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism Volunteer Award and YWCA Women of Distinction Award. 

The Regina Citizen of the Year Award presented by CTV is an annual tradition now in its 23rd year. Each November, CTV Regina accepts nominations from viewers for the Regina Citizen of the Year Award and presents the award at the end of December to an individual who exemplifies excellence in community service.

TORONTO (December 17, 2025) – Following the conclusion of an eventful third season of THE TRAITORS CANADA, CTV announced today a return to the roundtable as the hit murder mystery reality series is renewed for Season 4. Award-winning actress Karine Vanasse returns as host, welcoming a fresh group of cunning Canadian players into THE TRAITORS CANADA manor, with production set to begin in Spring 2026.
