Advertisers know there’s no better place to speak to a targeted audience than the Super Bowl broadcast. And this year, in addition to some highly anticipated new ad creative premiering during SUPER BOWL LIV this Sunday on CTV and TSN, CTV’s new Original Drama TRANSPLANT is set to receive some high-profile promotion to launch its debut season. On Super Bowl Sunday, a new, extended two-minute trailer for TRANSPLANT will premiere on CTV just ahead of the big game. The extended trailer will also be released on CTV.ca and @CTV’s social media platforms on Sunday, and then promoted on-air with :30 and :10 spots during the game broadcast. The combined promotional effort is designed to help drive additional awareness and interest in the new drama, which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning Feb. 26 on CTV. “Ensuring TRANSPLANT is featured during can’t-miss events is part of our overall promotional strategy for this amazing new series, and the Super Bowl broadcast has some of the most coveted promo time of the year,” said Jon Arklay, Senior Vice-President, Bell Media Agency: Brand, Creative, and Marketing. “A big focus within CTV’s overall mid-season campaign, TRANSPLANT is receiving extensive assets across on-air, digital, and out of home, as we build up to its premiere at the end of February.” TRANSPLANT centres on Dr. Bashir “Bash” Hamed (Hamza Haq, THE INDIAN DETECTIVE), a Syrian doctor with battle-tested skills in emergency medicine who makes the difficult decision to flee his country with his younger sister Amira. Together they struggle to build a new life in Canada, as Bash strives to rebuild his career in medicine. It also stars Laurence Leboeuf (19-2) and John Hannah (MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., Four Weddings and a Funeral). SUPER BOWL LIV pre-game broadcast begins Sunday, Feb. 2 at 12 p.m. ET, with live coverage of the game beginning at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on CTV and TSN.
