The third season of CTV’s homegrown hit CARDINAL, which airs its season finale tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET on CTV, picked up where Season 2 ended, both in the storyline and in critical acclaim.  With a total of six Canadian Screen Awards to its name, CARDINAL was praised by The Wall Street Journal during its first season as an “intriguing thriller, its appeal ensured by the bone-chilling glories of the scenery.” In Season 2, CARDINAL kept the trend alive by receiving impressive reviews from The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, and maintained a heavy social media presence throughout the season. The second season of the series has garnered 14 Canadian Screen Award nominations including Best Limited Series or Program; Best Direction, Drama Program or Limited Series; and Best Lead Actor and Best Lead Actress for series stars Billy Campbell and Karine Vanasse. CARIDNAL’s third season has continued the trend with outlets including TV, eh?, The Toronto Star, and The Globe & Mail praising the drama. Viewers can unravel the critical darling in the Season 3 finale Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on CTV, and with Season 4 currently in production, viewers won’t have to wait too long for another season.
