MuchFACT Announces Fund Recipients for October 4, 2013 Jury

TORONTO (October 7,2013) – Bell Media’s MuchFACT (A Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent) announced todaythe 37 fund recipients from the October4, 2013 jury meeting. With over 290 applications considered, a total of $438,300.00was awarded to Canadian musicians for the production of music videos, viralvideos, EPKs and websites. 

 

In recent months MuchFACT-supported music videos have madewaves online and on air, helping Canadian talent reach new fans, and tell theirstory, both in Canada and abroad. Electro-dance duo Autoerotiquehave seen their MuchFACT-supported video for Asphyxiation” increase to more than two million views on YouTube sincebeing posted in May, 2012. As well, Toronto indie band Hollerado haveused their MuchFACT-supported video for “So It Goes” to tell the amazing storyof how lead singer Menno’s grandfather’s life was spared by a German soldier inWWII, and how he then repaid the soldier’s compassion after the war.
