The complete suite of CTV-branded entertainment channels are now streaming from one digital platform on CTV.ca and the CTV app. MUST-WATCH FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 12 CTV: The all-new CTV Feature Documentary HOWIE MANDEL: BUT, ENOUGH ABOUT ME premieres Monday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The two-hour documentary is a heartwarming, funny, and candid look at the life of wildly inventive comedian and actor, Howie Mandel. This intimate portrait examines one of the most beloved and complex comedians and his invulnerable spirit. Told through Mandel’s own voice and using a wealth of behind the scenes access, the film examines his extraordinary life and career as well as his painful struggles with mental illness and how he has managed to cope while managing a relentless pace in his professional and private life. The two-hour documentary begins streaming on Crave on Tuesday, Oct. 13. CTV Comedy Channel: This Thanksgiving, viewers are in for a post-dinner treat with the Season 3 debut of CORNER GAS ANIMATED, premiering with back-to-back episodes on Monday, Oct. 12 beginning at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Featuring a cameo by Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, the all-new season picks up as Davis (Lorne Cardinal) forgets Karen’s (Tara Spencer-Nairn) birthday, and then rallies the gang to help him throw together a last-minute party with some unfortunate results. Meanwhile, Oscar (Eric Peterson) reckons with the fact that he’s terrible at giving gifts. Country singer Brett Kissel makes a cameo in the second episode, which finds Brent’s (Brent Butt) usual seat at the bar stolen, leading him to get his own private VIP section while Hank (Fred Ewanuick) loses his keys and enlists Lacey (Gabrielle Miller) to help him retrace his steps. Then, Wanda (Nancy Robertson) attempts to retrain Davis’s memory so he can use it for work and not just country music trivia. CTV Drama Channel: Horror anthology series MONSTERLAND continues with an all-new episode on Friday, Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. ET. Starring Nicole Beharie (Shame) and Marquis Rodriguez (WHEN THEY SEE US), the series’ third episode follows protagonist Annie Keller (Beharie), a wealthy socialite with a repressed secret. When a black-eyed, sweaty-toothed trumpet player begins to haunt her home, Annie’s gripping encounter with the monster awakens suppressed memories and, ultimately, leads to her undoing. CTV Life Channel: LET’S BRUNCH host Vanessa Gianfrancesco (ONE WORLD KITCHEN) serves up a sumptuous seafood brunch in an all-new episode on Friday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. ET. First on the menu is hangtown fry, a popular dish from Northern California’s gold rush era, made up of cracker-crusted oysters, velvety scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. Next, she makes smoked salmon croque madames topped with melty comté cheese, capers, creamy béchamel, and a sunny side up egg. Last but certainly not least, Gianfrancesco’s butter poached lobster is used to make her most decadent brunch yet: lobster roll with hollandaise served warm with black caviar. CTV Sci-Fi Channel’s STAR TREK: DISCOVERY lands with its all-new third season on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET. After following Commander Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green, THE WALKING DEAD) into the wormhole in the second season finale, the season debut finds U.S.S Discovery crew landing in an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must work together to restore hope to the Federation. Cast members this season include Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones (SPACE COMMAND), Anthony Rapp (Rent: Live), Mary Wiseman (ROOM 104), Wilson Cruz (13 REASONS WHY), and David Ajala (SUPERGIRL). Also appearing this season are newcomer Blu del Barrio, Ian Alexander (THE OA), and Michelle Yeoh (Crazy Rich Asians). CTV Movies: The psychological thriller Secret Window joins CTV Movies on Thursday, Oct. 15. While in the midst of an ugly divorce from his wife, writer Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) relocates to his remote cabin in upstate New York for solitude. Attempting to recover his mental health, Rainey has the misfortune of being found by John Shooter (John Turturro, TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST NIGHT), a farmer who claims Rainey plagiarized his work. At first, Rainey ignores the accusations, but Shooter has no intention of quietly disappearing. Soon, Shooter becomes increasingly vicious in his quest for retribution. CTV Digital celebrates Halloween during the month of October with the Halloween Hub, streaming on CTV.ca and the CTV App, with no subscription or sign-in required. The Hub features horror films such as FRIGHT NIGHT, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, and WHEN A STRANGER CALLS, among others; Halloween-themed episodes of CTV Throwback series such as COMMUNITY, DAWSON’S CREEK, and more; as well as Halloween-themed segments from CTV’s THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW and THE SOCIAL.
